Webrings

Small rings of personal sites that link to each other.

A webring is a loop of independent sites that point at one another. Every member shows a previous and a next link, so you can wander from one person's corner of the internet to the next without a search engine or a feed deciding the order.

Webring Zero

A nameless webring. The first one I am putting together - the theme will work itself out later.

Members

This is what a member's site shows. Pick a member to see their neighbors. The links are real, so clicking one takes you to that site, and resting on one shows a preview.

To Join

Message me with your site's address, or open a pull request that adds you to the list at the top of wrz.js. Then put the ring links on your site, using either of the two ways below. Replace https://yoursite.example/ with your address exactly as it appears in the member list.

Plain links (no JavaScript)

Copy this into your page wherever you like. It works everywhere and runs none of my code on your site.

Each arrow goes through a small page (wrz.html) that looks you up in the ring and sends the visitor on. Use &to=random instead for a random hop.

One script tag

Or let a script draw the links for you, with your neighbors' names on them. It's a plain <nav> that takes on your page's text color.

This one loads a script from my site onto yours, so only use it if you're comfortable with that. The plain links above are the safe choice, but they won't update automatically with new members.
